Our approach
Corporate social responsibility has been integrated into the Group's business strategies since our establishment. We are aware of the issues most relevant to our business, and we prioritise where we believe we can have the greatest impact — on the communities we touch, and on the environment surrounding our operations.
Rather than write cheques at a distance, HPGOC has created a team to reach out to local officials, so that we are able to connect with and be more involved in the communities where we work and live.
What we have supported
- Donations to Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Badung, distributed jointly with Kumpulan Semesta Sdn Bhd
- Renovation of the Ar-Rahman Mosque, Bukit Badong
- Donation to Masjid Lama, Kampung Bukit Badong
- Financial assistance to repair homes damaged by thunderstorms in Batang Berjuntai
- Direct support to families affected by disaster, including a household unable to fund repairs after storm damage
By addressing the needs of local communities, we make a conscious effort to contribute socially and support important causes — by working with partners and concentrating on effective initiatives.
